Project

RE@CT — Regional Empowerment for Advanced Collaboration and Technology

The RE@CT project is focused on establishing local centres for advanced manufacturing and technology in Nova Gradiška (Croatia) and Šabac (Serbia), with the support of ICTTI from Novi Sad. The main objective is to invest in education and vocational training in order to develop a highly qualified workforce that meets the requirements of modern industry, with particular emphasis on Industry 4.0.

Programme framework

  • Programme priority: 1 – Cooperation for a smarter programme area
  • Specific objective: RSO1.1 – Developing and enhancing research and innovation capacities and the uptake of advanced technologies

Key activities and innovations

  • Cross-Border Cooperation Council (CBCC) — development of tailored curricula for adult education in specific technological fields
  • VR technologies — training in CNC machining, mechatronics, robotics, automation and laser applications through virtual reality
  • Specialised training programmes — tailored curricula that respond to the specific needs of industry in both countries

Expected results

  • Development of a highly qualified workforce adapted to Industry 4.0
  • Creation of a regional ecosystem for innovation and economic growth
  • Increased cooperation between industry and educational institutions
  • Improvement of the quality of life in local communities
